Our Team
The ministry team at St Stephen's welcomes you as you visit us and worship with us. We are people from all walks of life but with one thing in common: a desire to love Jesus more and be useful in helping people come to hear about Jesus and consider him and the life Jesus offers.
Wherever you are on life's journey, we invite you to spend some of that journey with us.

Minister: Reverend Ken Day
Ken received the call to St Stephen’s Uniting Church to commence in the Christmas of 2015.
Prior to that Ken served at Brighton-le-sands / Kogarah, Terrigal, and the Byron Bay Shire Churches. By looking at a map and the churches in which Ken has been on their ministry teams, you can tell that the call of the ocean is also strong in his life. If asked for a guiding Bible text, Ken might say for him it has been “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.” (John 12:21) But that said, he has been impressed by the words in one of the windows in St Stephen's church worship centre: "Touch not a cat without a glove." Ken may be contacted by email: [email protected] |
Minister: Reverend Tim Robinson
Tim began at St Stephen's in 2023 working as an assistant with the Minister. As of February 2024, he is taking up the call as a second Minister of the Word with the church.
Tim has been in specified ministry within the Uniting Church since 2004 and has worked previously in congregational ministry in QLD as well as chaplaincy in NSW. Previously a professional musician, he has a passion for jazz and loves being involved in the music ministries of St Stephen's. He also really enjoys watching a football match or two... His prayer is that people would know the life-giving love of Jesus. He is inspired by Jesus' words, 'I have come that they might have life, and have it to the full.' (John 10:10) Tim may be contacted by email: [email protected] |
