You are welcome here, who ever you are,
where ever you are on life's journey.

Would being part of this life of faith interest you?
We are followers of Jesus Christ.
With God's help, we share Jesus' good news of life for all people,
learn together how to be followers of Jesus in an
open and affirming congregation,
celebrate and try to live out God's call to care for, and seek justice for,
all people and God's creation,
discerning the gifts of the Holy Spirit amongst us as we each serve in ministry and mission,
and supporting each other and this city as we travel along the way.

Come and see, and, we hope, experience this grace of God.

Let's up the goodness in this city

  • to outweigh the ugliness.

Let's open up the table of welcome
even further.

Would you like to join us in this positive action?

We're setting up a team to serve Early Bird Breakfasts on the 4th Saturdays and another on the 5th Saturdays of the month, starting in March. 6:30am - 8:30am.

Different opportunities:
cooking eggs and bacon; putting the egg and bacon roll together; getting your steps in a taking food from kitchen and storeroom to counter upstairs/lift  on Macquarie St; serving the rolls, tea, coffee, etc; clean up (we have a dishwasher)

We're all equals on the team, we support each other and are teachable, and no experience necessary.

EBC has grown from serving 60–90 breakfasts daily to now regularly serving over 200 hot meals each morning, six days a week. (Saturdays are a bit slower and the pace isn't frantic). EBC also serves—food packages, takeaway meals, and emergency support meals—alongside its breakfast service.
The changing face of those helped is noteworthy: in addition to people rough sleeping, EBC also serves working Australians in rental stress, older women, and single parents—many of whom don’t qualify for traditional services, refugees, international students.

At St Stephen's Uniting Church we are engaged to confess the
faith of Christ crucified and to be Christ's faithful servants.
We are engaged in a big wonderful life.

On Sunday morning you can enter and leave  St Stephen's through the ramped access at 126 Phillip St.
This access is open between 9:15am to  11:50am. The ground floor has a lift up to the worship centre.
You can still access St Stephen's building through the usual Macquarie St entry.
