The Choir

St Stephen's Uniting Church has had a fine choral tradition almost continuously from the time of its formation as a Presbyterian church in the 19th century. St Stephen's is always looking for choristers of any age to join our committed group of volunteers who sing at the 10am service every Sunday.

There is no mid-week rehearsal for the choir. Rehearsals begin at 9am on Sundays in the church. A rehearsal is also held after the morning service on most Sundays. The church is located within walking distance of Wynyard, Martin Place and St James train stations, and a short walk from buses and ferries into the city.

St Stephen's offers two student choral scholarships each year (currently one bass and one tenor).  For more information about the scholarships or if you would like to consider joining the choir, please contact Mark Quarmby, the Director of Music at mark@ssms.org.au or 0413 166 803.
